Birlikteyiz
Birlikteyiz is a podcast series showcasing stories of solidarity among migrants, refugees and their host communities in Turkey. We explore their challenges, hopes, fears, and perseverance. “Birlikteyiz” meaning “We Together” in Turkish, signifies unity. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has posed many challenges for vulnerable communities across the country. It has required a unified response from humanitarian groups, government entities, and local people. The UN Migration Agency (IOM) runs humanitarian programmes in Turkey that foster social cohesion among these communities, working in partnership with local responders.
