Between November 25 and December 10, 2022, the Sanliurfa Migrant Coordination and Information Centre together with the Sanliurfa Metropolitan Municipality – the project partner, held two social events as part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign against Gender-Based Violence.

The events aimed to raise awareness of gender equality, different types of gender-based violence, and how to report and find help. In total, 80 women from local and migrant communities participated in awareness-raising activities, hand painting, and the release of balloons with messages of future aspirations on them.

Through the formal cooperation with the Sanliurfa Metropolitan Municipality, the Sanliurfa Migrant Coordination and Information Centre has been offering integrated protection services and training to vulnerable beneficiariesin three different Sanliurfa sites since 2017.
