The first meeting of the Interinstitutional Working Group for Encouraging Registered International Labour Force was held in Ankara.

Officials from many organizations dealing with labour migration attended the meeting, which is co-hosted and organized by Turkey’s Ministry of Labour and Social Security- Directorate General of International Labour Force (DGILF) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The meeting was held within the scope of Turkey’s “Irregular Migration Strategy Document and the National Action Plan”s, “forming a working group to tackle unregistered labour force” aim.  

Strengthening the cooperation between organizations to tackle irregular labour migration and the informal workforce was discussed during the meeting. The views were exchanged on the job definition of the working group.

The meeting was held within the framework of the “Public-Private Partnerships (PPP): Facilitating Legal Pathways for the International Labour Force in Turkey” Project, which is carried out by IOM Turkey and DGILF and funded by the UK.
