IOM Turkey, Immigration and Border Management Department Team implemented an online workshop on inter-agency cooperation in passenger controls at the airports between the dates of 22-26 February 2021. The workshop brought together all stakeholders engaged and provided a platform of discussions on inter-agency cooperation in passenger controls. The workshop was held online with participants of more than 100 representatives from the Ministry of Trade- DG Customs Enforcement, Turkish National Police (TNP), Directorate-General State Authority (DGSAA), Directorate-General for Migration Management (DGMM), Directorate-General of Civil Aviation, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Kingdom Border Agency, HAVAŞ, TAV Esenboğa, Airline Operators Committee, and Fraport-TAV Antalya. The first two days of the workshop was dedicated to closed sessions among national stakeholders of the project and the remaining three days of the workshop provided an open forum to share their experiences and knowledge for the national and international stakeholders and private sector representatives operating in airports.
