Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. IOM’s Municipal Migrant and Community Centres in Adana, Şanlıurfa, Ankara, Mersin, Gaziantep and Kilis aim to connect migrants and refugees with support and services through referral and counselling. The six centres provide informal and formal education, legal counselling, psychosocial support, skills and language training for adults, vocational guidance, social services, as well as hosting social activities to bring the community together.
