WARNING: Beware of a fraudulent scheme targeting potential AVRR programme applicants

Istanbul, Turkey – The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Turkey warns about scammers who are using a fraudulent scheme to deceive potential applicants of the IOM Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) Programme, promising them prioritization of their applications and asking for money in return for their services.

IOM Turkey has no association with the above-mentioned fraudulent actions. All the information related to the AVRR Programme and applications processing is communicated to applicants solely by IOM case workers.

IOM is an independent international organization and implements its AVRR Programme based on the principle of transparency, providing all services free of charge and treating all applicants equally.

Therefore, IOM encourages potential applicants to do due diligence and speak directly with IOM official contacts to confirm the authenticity of the source of information about the AVRR programme and any available assistance to migrants.
