IOM Türkiye continues working on building harmonization in communities all over Türkiye. As a result of the six-month partnership, more than 1,200 direct beneficiaries benefitted from a series of community engagement activities organized by IOM through its five competent NGO partners in Ankara, Hatay, Bursa, Afyon and Kahramanmaraş.
The community engagement activities were organized through grant support provided by IOM to selected NGO partners to targeted migrants, refugees, and local community members. The participants leveraged from various thematic trainings and sessions on topics such as social cohesion, personal development, psychosocial support, first aid, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities, psychological resilience, and positive parenting.
To ensure the effectiveness and transparency of all activities, IOM cooperates with implementing partners regularly and implements monitoring mechanisms to measure the quality and impact of the activities.
The above-mentioned social harmonization activities through grants were carried out under the Harmonization and Social Cohesion Programme across Türkiye, funded by the European Union and implemented by IOM Türkiye and Presidency of Migration Management.
